Realistic Simulation:

The test lung replicates the compliance and resistance characteristics of a neonatal lung,
allowing for realistic simulations of various respiratory conditions that a newborn might
experience.

Adjustable Parameters:

With “NeoSim”users can adjust parameters such as lung compliance, airway resistance, respiratory efforts, rate of breathing and leak in airways to simulate different clinical scenarios. This flexibility is essential for testing how different ventilators and ventilation strategies perform
under varied conditions.

Evaluating respiratory parameters :

You can see real-time change in respiratory parameters like air way pressures, volume, flow
and CO2. This data is critical for evaluating the performance of ventilatory support systems and
ensuring they are safe and effective for neonatal use.

We have bought first two units of Freedom Plus four years ago for our level 3 NICU and after Satisfactory performance we have bought two more units within a year. We have been continuously Using all four units for delivering various non-invasive therapies and have successfully ventilated more than 600 no. of patients including extreme preterm over a period of last four years. Freedom Plus has help us minimizing intubation rate and also helped us reduce post-extubation failure rate. Machine is very simple to use, work with variety of accessories available in the market and electronic blending without unnecessary bleed has save cost for loss oxygen compare to mechanical blending system.

We have been using Freedom Plus Machine in our NICU, Phadnis Clinic Pvt. Ltd., ONP Prime Hospital, Shivaji Nagar, Pune-411005. We have used it with various non invasive therapies and found working satisfactory. With use of Freedom Plus we have been able to save many intubations and it has also helped us weaning patients after post-extubations from Ventilator.

We are using Freedom Plus non invasive ventilator, manufactured by Optimedics LLP for last 3 years in our level-3 NICU at Orange neonatal and paediatric intensive care unit, chandkheda, Ahmedabad. This machine is very user friendly and very simple to operate and gives all required & important alarms. Fio2 monitoring and electronic blender are very excellent features of this machine so excessive oxygen delivery is reduces, particularly when we use it in extreme premies. Now with availability of SNIPPV mode and after experiencing its superb performance over last 3 years this machine is definitely our first choice amongst all Non invasive ventilators.
